Code-Switched - The REMIX!In the research, three versions of a story were used and that is how I initially did the activity. However, last year in planning with Bob Patrick and Elizabeth Davidson, I decided to try a different route.
Over the course of 3 days, read each part of the story in the 3 CS versions. On day 3 finish with a final reading of the original L2. This is really a catch all for a lot of ways to introduce vocabulary. I often combine bits and pieces to create a meaningful lesson for students. Consider this the Subway/Quiznos of activities: pick what you want, leave what you don't... come visit again soon!
